When Soorpanakha thought of doing so, Lord Rama and Lakshmana cut off her nose and ears. Surpanakha, by telling a fabricated story, created attraction in Ravana’s mind towards Mother Sita.

Ravana believed Surpanakha’s fabricated story to be true and decided to punish Lord Rama and Lakshmana for it. He asked his ministers for ideas for this. That’s why Surpanakha advised Ravana to kidnap Mother Sita. Although Ravana’s younger brother Vibhishana opposed it in that assembly. But Ravana’s mind had developed an attraction towards Mother Sita. He accepted the offer of kidnapping Mother Sita to punish Lord Rama and Lakshmana.

After this, Ravana goes to Panchvati to kidnap Mother Sita by deceit and he also takes the help of his maternal uncle Marich for help in this work. Maricha disguises himself as a golden deer and wanders around Panchavati. When mother Sita sees the golden deer, she requests Lord Rama to bring it, after which Lord Rama goes to the forest to bring the deer. Is. When Lord Rama suspects that it is an elusive demon in the guise of a deer, he shoots an arrow at it. Seeing the arrow coming towards him, Marich, coming out of the form of a deer, turns into a demon and while crying in the voice of Lord Rama says – O Sita, O Laxman, now I have killed. After which, on the request of Mother Sita, Lakshmana goes to the forest to help Lord Rama. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Ravana disguised as a beggar begs mother Sita for alms and forces her to come out of her hut. When Mother Sita comes out of her cottage crossing the Lakshman Rekha, Ravana abducts her. Most of the people who read Ramayana have this concept in their mind when the question arises that “why did Ravana kidnap Sita?”
